VALENTINES DRIVE-IN MOVIES - 11th FEB 2018
Beauty & the Beast + Ghost to be shown on huge LCD screen in Wrexham Town Centre!
The Valentine’s Drive-In Cinema arrives back in Wrexham next month on Sunday 11th February thanks to Wrexham County Borough Council.
Following the popularity of the events like these last year, the events team have lined up another programme for 2018 starting with this romantic night next month.
Two of the most popular films voted for on Facebook by the Wrexham public are to be shown. At 5.15pm, it’s the latest Disney classic – Beauty & the Beast which was one of the highest grossing box office films of 2017. This is followed at 8.00pm with Ghost, the Demi Moore / Patrick Swayze love story which was a smash in the early 90’s.
Once again, the movie’s will take place on the Waterworld Car Park in town, with advance tickets priced at £15 per car. Tickets go on-sale on Monday 15th Jan by clicking here or in person at the Tourist Information Centre, Queens Square.
On the evening, the events team are delighted to welcome Wrexham favourite “Woody’s Pizza Oven” who’ll be serving movie-goers throughout the evening, along with the Fizz Queen who’ll have in-car mocktails and romantic-themed milkshakes!
Ahead of tickets going on-sale, Joe Bickerton, Destination Manager at Wrexham Council added;

Our Christmas event worked really well in the town centre and was a hit with both the local community and visitors from as far as the midlands based on the ticket sale data. The events programme continues to get stronger each year and Wrexham’s reputation as a events destination can only benefit from this.”
