A new 10k road race starting and finishing in Wrexham City Centre takes place next month with organisers expecting this to be a popular new addition to the Adrenaline Events sporting calendar.
The race, organised by Adrenaline Sporting Events, is set to take place on Sunday 21st April, starting and finishing in Wrexham city centre.
Runners of all abilities have been invited to take part and each finisher will collect a unique Welsh-themed medal after crossing the finish line on Queen Square!
The race will start at 9am on Queens Square, where runners will then head down Ruabon Road towards Rhostyllen before turning left onto Hafod Road with a circular loop surrounding Erddig, before heading back towards the city centre and the finish line. Any disruption will be kept to a minimum with the race expected to be completed before 11.00am.
Alan Lewis, race director said; "We're thrilled to be adding Wrexham to our race calendar for what promises to be a really exciting, fast course, with runners of all abilities taking part. Our headline sponsor - JCB on Wrexham Industrial Estate - have provided great support since we launched the race and all of our team are looking forward to a great event in April and also another important boost for Wrexham City Centre."
