Cycling 4 All the Wrexham based charity who deliver the all ability cycling service at Alyn Waters country park are to host a “Pedal Power Parade” during Bike Week 2024 June 10th - 16th thanks to funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The Pedal Power Parade is a trail of decorated bikes displayed around the park, decorated by local community groups, charity's, schools, and businesses. Taking place during Bike Week June 10th - 16th at Alyn Waters Country Park.
The aim of the parade is to bring the local community together walking or biking to discover all the transformed bikes for their wellbeing and promoting environmental sustainability and sustainable transport. A perfect opportunity to get outdoors and get active, to celebrate and support creativity, and connect people with others in the community.
Cycling 4 All will be working with partner charities Refurbs and Groundwork North Wales to access bikes that have been unable to be refurbished for reuse to be used for the parade reducing waste sent to landfill.
Hanna Clarke, Project Lead for the Pedal Power Parade said,
“We are looking forward to the local community getting creative and decorating a bike that would have otherwise ended up in landfill. The Pedal Power Parade will provide an exciting opportunity to promote the need for reuse and sustainability in our community, a chance for the community to celebrate and support creativity, getting outdoors and getting active”.
Local community groups, charity's, schools, and businesses are all invited to decorate a bike however they wish incorporating the message of reuse and sustainability. It is free of charge to get involved and decorate a bike; businesses that want to get involved can make a charitable donation to Pedal Power if they wish.
As well as getting community groups, charity's, schools, and businesses to decorate bikes we will be holding several community workshops where people can drop in and help decorate bikes for the parade.

It’s inspiring to see how Cycling 4 All is helping the local community thrive with support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Just like this project promotes growth and support, students also look for help in their academic journeys—many even search take my TEAS exam for me when overwhelmed. With the right guidance and resources, both community efforts and educational goals can lead to meaningful success.
That’s such wonderful news! 🚴♂️ It’s great to see Cycling 4 All using the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to bring people together and promote inclusive cycling. Initiatives like the Pedal Power Parade not only encourage fitness but also build stronger, happier communities. Speaking of spreading joy and connection — just like cycling brings people closer — you can also make someone’s day special with a heartfelt message from Birthday Wishes for Friends. Small gestures like these truly keep communities thriving!
The Pedal Power Parade sounds like such a wonderful initiative — bringing the community together through cycling, creativity, and sustainability is truly inspiring. It’s amazing to see how local charities, schools, and businesses are contributing to both environmental care and community wellbeing. Events like this remind us how collective effort can create lasting positive change.
In a similar way, faith-based practices also bring people together and strengthen hearts. For Muslims, Surah Yaseen is often called the “heart of the Quran,” offering guidance, peace, and blessings that nurture the soul just as activities like cycling nurture the body. If you’d like to explore more about the virtues and benefits of reciting it, you can visit Surah Yaseen .
