When an idea becomes a reality...
A few months ago Wrexham-based C&M Transport's Operations Manager Jonno Williams had an idea how he would love to do something different on their next trailer and came up with the idea of getting 2 local high schools involved to design it (having 1 side each).

As a family run business from Wrexham, C&M have seen how much Wrexham is more in the public eye due to the football, but there is so much more to Wrexham County, so C&M partnered up with us at This is Wrexham to highlight some of the amazing landmarks we have, part of which asked pupils from Ysgol Morgan Llwyd and Ysgol Bryn Alyn to draw what they thought of (landmarks) when they thought of Wrexham.

We received numerous drawings, including plenty of amazing designs which made it so hard for us to pick just one! We wish we could have picked them all but the effort everyone put into them didn’t go unnoticed.
Both Jonno and Lisa at C&M worked closely with both schools and local graphic designers - ASAP Signs - did another amazing job in making this all come together.
This week, we went and revealed the trailer to both the schools and C&M Transport generously presented the winners with an IPad, and gave each pupil a small gift for taking part. Each school also chose Amazon Voucher’s to the value of £500 each which will go towards equipment for the schools.
Huge well done to both the winners - Holly Jones Ysgol Bryn Alyn & Juliette Devereux Ysgol Morgan Llwyd - your art work is outstanding.

Jonno Williams added; "Seeing the drawings in the flesh has made us so proud that we can showcase Wrexham in this way across the UK & seeing the pupils reactions as they seem the design was amazing!!
We would like to say a massive THANK YOU to Mrs De Silva & Mrs Noon and all the pupils from Bryn Alyn & Mrs Evans & all the pupils from Morgan Llwyd who took part in this competition!"
Next year, as well as looking out for the trailer driving around Wrexham and on the motorways around the UK and Europe, all the pictures entered will be displayed by the Visitor Information Centre in Ty Pawb. We'll also be working closely with C&M to develop more ideas and events that help showcase Wrexham County further as well.

Partnering with This is Wrexham and getting pupils from Ysgol Morgan Llwyd and Ysgol Bryn Alyn involved adds a really authentic, creative touch—kids often capture the spirit of a place better than anyone. Projects like this celebrate community pride in a way that feels as fresh and engaging as discovering something unexpected, a bit like stumbling across smash karts unblocked and realising there’s more fun there than you first thought.
Great behind-the-scenes look at the new trailer reveal. The storytelling and visuals really captured the local pride and momentum around the project. It’s always interesting to see how regional businesses and media work together to tell authentic stories. I came across a similar local-business discussion while reading a goprogaragedoorrepair review blog https://www.goprogaragedoorrepair.com/, and it’s nice to see that same community-driven energy reflected here. Well done.
