Lewis's Farm Shop, Eyton

A family run farm shop offering the best local produce!

This Is Wrexham members Lewis’s Farm Shop was established in 2000 by Mark and Jayne Lewis. Now, when it comes to fresh, local produce - Mark & Jayne are the go-to people!

Located just a stones throw from the popular Plassey Holiday Park, Lewis's Farm Shop is popular with visitors and locals.

Originally, they sold only fresh lamb directly from the family farm, but the shop soon expanded when demand increased for a greater selection of high quality, local produce.

As a family run farm shop, being able to offer outstanding produce and excellent value is important to them. It is this philosophy that has seen them attract customers from far and wide and expand their product range in the process.

As new Members to the scheme, we caught up with Mark ahead of a busy summer season to find out what makes Lewis's Farm Shop so popular.

As a family run business, Mark and Jayne understand the importance of offering a wide variety of affordable produce and a friendly, helpful service. The shop’s in-house butchery sources meat locally and customers can watch it being expertly prepared. The kitchen team can also be seen baking cakes, pies, quiches and pastries six days a week.

The well-stocked deli offers a vast selection of homemade produce and local English and Welsh cheeses. All other produce available in store is sourced as locally as possible or from British artisan producers. With so much choice, it’s easy to see why it has become a favourite haunt of so many visitors from Wrexham, Shropshire and Cheshire!

Mark and Jayne have invested in a new logo, which can be seen on the shop’s new signage, interior décor, staff uniforms and promotional materials. A new website has been launched to increase the shop’s online presence.

Commenting on the new look, Mark said:

“Our farm shop operates in a very traditional way and is stocked with a huge range of exciting produce. We are incredibly passionate about good food and we are keen to offer an affordable and friendly alternative to supermarket giants. Our meat is sourced from local farms and prepared onsite so we can guarantee quality and origin, whilst minimising food miles.

Over time we have created new ranges, such as our freshly prepared ready meals, and have been recognised for quality with our award-winning sausages and black bacon. By baking our own goods in the kitchen, we are able to offer our customers something different yet always delicious!"

"We have always enjoyed loyalty from our customers but over the years we have noticed the younger generation do not visit us regularly. Perhaps the convenience of the supermarket is too great a draw but we are able to provide better quality products at similar prices. We’re also a very friendly bunch and willing to help our customers select the best cuts of meat at the right price."

Lewis’s Farm Shop has been redecorated to reflect the new brand and new signage along the B5426 proudly bears the new logo. The new website can be found at www.lewisfarmshop.com
