Phil & Andy Gallanders celebrate success for local independent coffee venture in Wrexham!

King Street Coffee Company are proud to announce our inclusion in the latest “North and North Wales Independent Coffee Guide”

The North and North Wales Independent Coffee Guide is the insider’s guide to speciality coffee venues and roasters in the region. In showcases the top coffee shops from Llandudno all the way up to Northumberland. 180 top quality coffee shops and roasters have been hand picked by the region's leading coffee experts.

King Street Coffee Company’s entry includes pictures from Wrexham County Borough Council's Destination Manager Joe Bickerton who said “It was brilliant to see King Street Coffee included in the new Northern Independent Coffee Guide!

Why? Because I know a couple of great guys who have put their heart & soul into a fab coffee shop, King Street Coffee Company in the heart of Wrexham and this year they're featured in the guide!”

It has always been a long term goal of ours to be in the guide - we’ve used the previous years lots when looking out for quality coffee shops to visit when we are out and about so to be included in the guide at our first attempt is a really proud moment for us. We hope this shows that there is a genuine alternative to the vast number of chain coffee shops in Wrexham.

This is the first year that more than one coffee shop from North Wales has been featured and the official name of the guide has been changed to include North Wales! We think that this is testament to the growing food and tourism sector in the county.

The guide will be available to buy in both King Street Coffee Company and Bank Street Coffee from Monday 18th September or is available to order now on

This tops off a really busy summer for us after opening our second shop, Bank Street Coffee in July. We won’t be resting on our laurels however, We are planning a number of small events at Bank Street Coffee over the winter and already have two confirmed -

  • Friday 29th Sept - Isabella Crowther EP Launch 19:30 (Tickets are £5 and available at Bank Street Coffee)
